Valentine Gifts CandlesValentines Day Gifts represent the deepest of our feelings for our beloved. They fill hearts with affection, adoration, love, care, respect, trust, romance and passion. If the gifts are unique then they become memorable forever. Homemade Gift not only gives a personal touch to these unique gifts but also shows how much time and effort has been put in, just to make that special person of our lives, a bit more happier!

Here are some craft ideas to make that special gift for your special someone!

Beautifully Painted Wine Glass
A wine glass with beautiful heart or other design will win over his heart in a matter of a few seconds.

  • Buy Wine glasses, champagne flutes or goblet from any bar accessories suppliers.

  • Valentine Painted Glass
  • Get glass paints (you can even buy a glass painting kit that has everything needed for glass painting), rubbing alcohol, soap and water, and red ribbon.

  • Wash glasses thoroughly with soap & water and let them dry completely.

  • Paint hearts or other design of your choice on glasses. You may use stencils, or place a picture on the inside of the glass, applying your colors on the outside to match the photo. Lesser design is always good on glass as it displays the maximum effect.

  • If, somehow, you make a mistake while painting, dip a q-tip in rubbing alcohol and gently wipe away anything outside of the design. Be careful and don't rub alcohol into your design otherwise the paint may get smudged. If you don't like the result, wash in warm water, or wipe completely with rubbing alcohol until the paint is gone and then try again.

  • Let the paint on glass to set for 24 hours.

  • After 24 hours, bake the glasses so that the design sets permanently on them. Follow the package instructions for baking. Usually glass can be baked in the oven for 40 minutes at 325 degrees. After baking, the designed glass can be taken in normal usage and are dish wash safe.

Heart Shaped Patchwork
Make some heart shaped patchworks so that you can use them on any other craft item that you are going to make for your sweetheart. Heartshape Patchworks

  • Get four pieces of colored cloth patches and cut 16 3" squares.

  • Sew four rows of these four squares.

  • Sew all the four rows together

  • Fold the square into half and cut in the shape of a heart.

You can sew these heart shaped patches on a pillow case or a cushions; or glue them on your beautifully wrapped gift.

Romantic Valentine Candles
Give a romantic feel to your valentine evening by enjoying a special valentine candle light dinner. These days, the candles suppliers have a variety of candles. Make them some more special in the following way.

  • Get 4-5 taper candles

  • Buy some heart candies. You can also go for some simple velvet hearts.

  • Add these valentine hearts to the base of the candles. Make sure they are evenly placed otherwise the candles wouldn't stand properly. Your attractive and beautiful Valentine candles are ready.

Attractive Beads jewelery
A jewelery made of homemade beads is enough to charm your sweetheart.

Heart Shape Jewelery
  • Get some Fimo or Sculpey clay which is available with any art and craft supplies store.

  • Get some tiny cookie cutters, toothpick, thin cording or string and a safety pin.

  • Make symmetrical hearts by using the side of a pen or a similar item to roll flat a lump of clay to about 1/8-inch thick.

  • Cut out pieces with a heart-shaped cutter. You can even use your fingers to form or coil individual bits of clay to form heart shapes.

  • Use the toothpick to make a hole in a corner of each bead and then bake the hearts as per the package directions.

  • Now use these tiny beads to make any jewelery like necklace, bracelet, coat pin or any other jewelery that is liked by your beloved.

So, let your creativity flow while making the above or any other personalized gift, beautifully wrap it and then see the glow on his/her face when the gift is opened!!
