home_party_craft showAre you a small time clay pottery manufacturer? Or are you working as jute crafts supplier by making your own jute handicrafts like jute apparels or jute bags? Do you find it difficult to search people interested in your crafts? Do you find the trade shows very expensive at this stage of your handicrafts business? Then this article can help you by showing you the way of home party craft shows. These home shows are great for beginners as well as established crafts persons.

Why Home Crafts Show?
All the people coming at trade shows don't intend to buy from there. Most of them come to look at the beautiful craft displays. However, those who come at home craft shows are genuinely interested in buying the kind of articles for which the party has been organized. Also, these parties are much easier to organize as compared to the preparations needed for carrying and displaying a whole lot of your creations in a craft show. They are cost effective too, you don't need to pay any entry fee for the show, just a kind gesture of gratitude to the party host, by way of a gift or some discount coupons, is enough. The only concern is about networking. You must know a lot of people to make your crafts show a success. Here your friends and family will be of utmost help. Use their networks, make a chain for marketing your crafts- make the friends of your friends your clients who'll be the  lifelong buyers of your crafts.

How to Organize a Home Crafts Show?
Make arrangements with some friends or family members who can throw such a party at their home. Present your crafts to the invited group and deliver the products after the show at the fixed dates. Here are some tips for organizing a home crafts show.

  • Give incentive to your host friend even before the show- some gift, some percent of total sales, discount coupon- anything that'll motivate the person to invite and make sure the presence of as many prospective buyers as possible.

  • Provide the host with invitations having your name and address and also a catalog of the kind of crafts you are going to display. Make the catalog with the help of computer and add pictures for greater effect. For example, if you are a wood sculpture manufacturer, add pictures of some of your fine sculptures with different finishes that you can provide. Also mention the costs. The point is to be very clear about every detail of your crafts. home-party-craft-display

  • There are two ways to present your crafts at such shows. Either make inventory for sale at the show or make some sample items that can be customized according o the buyers' specifications. The best option is to combine the two methods. Samples make it easy for the viewers to visualize their customization requirements.

  • Set your crafts before the show so the guests can see them. Give a price and/or order list and a pen to them before your presentation. Add a column for the guest's name, address and phone numbers on the order forms for future needs. Present the items in the order in which they appear on the price list and explain the customization that could be done to them.

  • Let the guests discuss before and after the show- its beneficial for your business.

  • Ask for some down payment- which can be a percentage or the full price of the item- you'll need it for buying supplies.

  • Fix the delivery date and stick to your deadline. If you prefer, you can arrange for a group delivery - say at the host's home. Guests can come and pick up their items at their convenience. The mantra is to be as flexible as you can with the clients.
